Rain is expected to move back into the state on Wednesday and could stick around through the weekend. Rainfall amounts could be heavy given the continuation of rain for numerous days. Amounts over 2 inches for the next 5 days is likely with isolated higher totals. As of now, Hurricane Ike will not effect Iowa’s weather, but moisture from the storm as it moves inland in Texas could next week, but that is still far out in the forecast. Temperatures will remain below average for the week. An update on any records that might have been broken will be posted later.
