A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued beginning at 10pm this evening and will be in effect until 10am Monday morning for Dickinson, Lyon and Osceola counties in NW Iowa. A swath of snow will fall across South Dakota, Minnesota and extreme NW Iowa Sunday night into Monday morning. Total accumulations of 2-5 inches can be expected in the advisory area, with the heaviest snowfall likely north of the border in Minnesota and South Dakota. Accumulating snow will likely only effect the northwestern portions of the state tonight into Monday, but a few flakes could mix in elsewhere with rain that is expected to move into the rest of the state later tonight.
