STORMY BREAKS: Still on track to continue to see some shower and thunderstorm chances over the next few days. They will be scattered in nature with some areas getting some decent amounts of rain of a few tenths to a half inch, but flash flooding doesn’t look likely given the amount of dry weather we’ve seen over the last week. Severe Weather is entirely possible today and Tuesday with a slight risk of severe weather for a good portion of the state. Damaging winds and large hail would be the main threats with any thunderstorms that turn severe. Highs will remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s today and Tuesday before readings cool down into the lower 80s at mid-week.

MORE SUMMER: The warm typical summer weather returns next weekend with readings about where they were this past weekend, mid to upper 80s to lower 90s. There will be a risk of a few showers and thunderstorms as well, but they look to be more hit and miss and some places may not get anything, but this could change depending on several factors. The seasonal weather looks to continue through the extended period as well with a few chances of seeing some precipitation but nothing on the model run showing any sort of organization at this time, this too may change as well.
