Congratulations to class 1A teams Newell-Fonda (21-5), Burlington Notre Dame (23-1), Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton (25-0), and Springville (22-3) and class 2A teams Unity Christian (25-0), South Central Calhoun (22-2), and North Linn (24-1) for making it on to the semifinals of the 2015 Iowa girls high school basketball tournament! They will be playing later this week for a chance to go to the state championships.

We have another full slate of games Tuesday with warmer temperatures for the morning portion but with light rain/drizzle dominating through 11am. Cloudy skies should clear up in the evening only to make way for colder weather. Wind chills will be bitter with temperatures in the 20s and sustained winds in the 15-20 MPH range (with gusts to 30 MPH). Colder weather is on top for Wednesday and Thursday before a warm up is in store for Friday.
