COOL CALM DAYS: Today and tomorrow will feature some cool morning with some possible frost, especially in our northern counties Saturday morning, and cool sunny afternoons with readings mainly reaching the middle and upper 50s across the state.
NEXT SYSTEM: The next system will move into the state Sunday into the day on Monday with a chance of some showers and isolated thunderstorms. Some of the heavy could be heavy but the biggest threat of that should remain to our south. The rain chances may linger into the first half of Tuesday in the eastern third of the state with skies clearing from west to east. Highs will remain in the 50s and lower 60s through this time period.
ENDING THE WEEK: Wednesday and Thursday will be dry across the state with mostly sunny skies around with readings in the 60s for the most part. Winds will be on the increase from the south on Thursday ahead of a disturbance that will move by Thursday night into Friday. Most of the precipitation chances with that system look to remain north of the state but we can’t rule out an isolated shower north of US Hwy 20.
HEADING ON DOWN THE ROAD: The extended period is showing no real trends regarding the timing or strength of any storms that may move through the area. So I see no real confidence in anything past seven days at this point.
