Areas of Frost Likely Tonight across Northern Iowa

503

The National Weather Service offices across the state have issued Frost Advisories for overnight tonight as a high pressure system builds into the area this evening from Canada. Lows are expected to plunge into the upper 20s to mid 30s tonight with only a slight warmup for the highs into the 40s and lower 50s. The normal precautions should be taken tonight with your plants and such.

Saturday morning will again be a cold one with temperatures likely being close to the freezing levels in the northern part of the state and areas to the north. Lows will be even chillier for most locations, nearly 5-10 degrees cooler than Friday morning.

Lots of rainfall is expected for the end of the weekend and into Monday as a low pressure system moves into the region with normal temperatures returning. More information will be available in the Iowa Weather Report later tonight.
