Another classic Iowa snowstorm is on the grill for Monday night through Tuesday. Our current forecast shows that the heaviest snow band is expected to be near the US 36 corridor across northern Missouri into Central Illinois with the heaviest snows in Iowa falling south of an Omaha to Des Moines to Dubuque line with lighter amounts north of there.
It’s still a bit too early at this time to give an accurate estimate on snowfall amounts but accumulations could be similar to the storm we had Friday night into Saturday across the southern counties but again that’s just a guess at this point.
We’ll have a better grasp later today and perhaps will have a snowfall accumulation map later tonight or first thing Monday morning.
