JANUARY IN NOVEMBER: It’s going to feel a lot like January today with readings barely at 30 with a light wind that will make it feel like the 20s. It will be bright and sunny but it can be bright and sunny in January too, but that won’t make it feel any better. Another night back down in the teens tonight with winds beginning to switch back around to the west and southwest on Wednesday which should boost readings out of the January like weather and back to near seasonal levels through the end of the week. Highs Wednesday will be in the 40s, with some lower 50s possible in the southern counties by the end of the week.

SYSTEMS UPCOMING: A weak system may kick off a shower Thursday night into Friday but that shouldn’t amount to a whole lot. The next system Sunday into Monday will bring quite a bit of rainfall to the area. As cold air wraps around the system on Monday the precipitation could end as a wintry mix and or snow in the northern and northwestern counties of the state. This is still undetermined at this point, but we’ll have to keep watch of that as we move along. Any change in the track of the low or when the cold air could make inroads into the state will be the key. Stay tuned.

LOOKING YONDER: Temperatures look to remain near seasonal levels until around the 23rd when another cold push will come in from the northwest. This could bring some rain and snow to the area at that time with another surge of precipitation a few days later. The colder air looks to remain through the end of the period and likely Thanksgiving as well (which is actually the day after the end of the period)
