WE NOW RETURN YOU TO REGULAR PROGRAMMING: Temperatures will return finally after this historic snowfall event into the mid 40’s Northwest to nearly 60 Southeast. The agreement among the models is that rain showers will be prominent throughout the day today with isolated thunderstorms this afternoon, along with cloudy skies. This trend will continue through the beginning of the work week before Partly Cloudy skies return. Along with Cloudy skies starting off the work week, Fog will be likely during the mornings thanks to the storm we have received over the next couple of days. Some isolated thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday night and Wednesday. Precipitation with this system should be under a quarter inch. Severe Weather, if any, should remain generally west, but models are beginning to push it farther east with a Low Pressure system in Texas. We will keep an eye on it.

MIDDLE OF MAY: The GFS shows a few discrepancies during the middle of the month with showers and thunderstorms returning to Iowa. Severe weather is not anticipated at this time, but a good eye will be kept on it. More good news, there are no signs of any more winter weather events coming this year at this time.
