The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 10am this morning for Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, Mitchell and Winneshiek counties. Thunderstorms are developing across southern Minnesota and northeastern Iowa and will have the capability of becoming severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats with the storm activity. Most of the activity should be out of the state by 6-7am or so.
