PRECIP TODAY: We’ll have some precipitation moving through the state today, with rain, sleet and snow possible. Amounts will be light with a tenth of an inch of liquid possible. It will continue into Friday as a new low forms to the south. Most of the precipitation Friday should be in the form of rain changing over to some snow or a mix before ending Friday afternoon. The weekend storm will be staying just to the south and east where the heaviest amounts of rain on the QPF chart are.

STILL THERE: The storm at mid-month is still there at the end of the forecast period. Not shown on the video is another storm a few days prior (the one that had been at the end of the forecast period a few days ago) however the one on the 18th (which was on the 17th yesterday) is the largest and the one we’ll need to keep an eye on if it verifies. Usually storms like this aren’t seen run to run especially this far out, but it’s been on every run for over 3 days or so, so it’ll need to be looked at in the future as we draw near.
