Although I’ve been very busy and have not had the time to post pictures of the front of my house. (hoping to restart again this week) I’ve been continuing to take a picture of my garden with my Webcam everyday since January. A big Thanks goes out to Josh at OSNW3 blog for showing me the program I used to put these pictures together!
This is the first time lapse project I’ve ever done and I think this project so far is pretty cool, you can actually watch the snow melt away and my garden come to life! and towards the end of the video, you can see the Apple tree in the back round begin to flower. I plan to continue this time lapse project as we progress through summer and fall.
The pictures start on January 9th, and go to May 3rd, A Red colored Month/Date/Year label pops up in Early March on the lower right hand corner of the screen.
Video Highlights are
March 12th snow is melted away,
April 2nd grass begins to green up.
April 12th First Yellow Daffodil bloom.
April 21st Spring Garden in full bloom.
April 26th first lawn mow.
April 29th first Apple tree flower.
I enjoy watching your time-lapse over and over. Great job, Derek. Which software did you end up using to create the loop?
Picasa worked great for me! thanks again for the recommendation.
