The warmer weather is expected to continue into the upcoming weekend which will lead to more snowmelt across the state. An earlier post, denoted the possible flooding that might occur this weekend into next week with precipitation expected beginning Saturday and lasting through at least Tuesday. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s through the weekend and into early next week with a few locations hitting 50, which would be the first time since Mid-December that any location in the state has hit or exceeded 50 degrees.
The first storm is expected to impact the state on Saturday through Sunday with some light rain. Amounts are expected to be light with a quarter inch or less being possible although some higher amounts are possible.
The second storm will move in for the beginning of the week on Monday into Tuesday with more substantial precipitation. Rainfall amounts for the second storm are still too early to tell, but there is decent chance for some moderate to heavy rain with this storm. The precipitiation may mix with and change over to snow by late on Tuesday with only some minor accumulations possible.
