Tornado at Newton Airport
The KCCI Webcam located at the Iowa Speedway (which is right next to the Newton Airport where a tornado was spotted by law enforcement didn’t see the tornado. It looks to be rain wrapped and could be VERY dangerous as it moves SE away from Newton.
Numerous Tornado Reports in Carroll County
There has been numerous reports of a tornado on the ground in southern Carroll county mainly along IA Hwy 141. Reports from Templeton, Dedham and west of Coon Rapids show that the tornado was still on the ground or may have been several brief touchdowns as the storm is moving to the east.

Nickel Sized hail was reported NNE of State Center at 1:13am. At 1:29am the Marshalltown airport, located 4 miles north of Marshalltown recorded a wind gust to 60mph. These storms will continue to move east-southeast and may briefly reach severe criteria.
