Mid Morning Update
A few small showers with some embedded thunder are scattered in an isolated fashion across the state. The strongest one was near Oelwein and another in SW Iowa. These showers could dump a quick tenth of an inch as they move through. Elsewhere it should remain sunny through midday
Slight Risk Tuesday
There is a slight risk of severe weather for part of NE Iowa. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds. This is mainly north of US Hwy 20 and east of Interstate 35. Will see if this is shifted later today.
11pm Update
A few light showers on the eastern edge of the complex of thunderstorms is moving through NW Iowa. The bigger storms will likely move into the state in 1-2 hours. Elsewhere skies will remain clear to partly cloudy with increasing cloudiness expected west of Interstate 35 through 2am.
