Evening Update
A few rain showers still exist in NE and SE Iowa, with the heaviest concentration being in NE Iowa. Additional rainfall will amount to a tenth or two. The rain will be out of the state by midnight at the latest. Elsewhere some mist and drizzle will continue through midnight mainly east of Interstate 35.
Rain Departing
The steady rain has departed from the gate and is moving out of the state. A few scattered showers will continue through this evening, but will become more isolated as the night progresses. Temperatures will fall into the 40s tonight under clearing skies with northwesterly winds bringing the cool dry air in.
