Today: Mostly sunny early before transitioning to Mostly Cloudy north-to-south. Showers and thunderstorms likely in northern sections by afternoon to evening hours. High temperatures ranging from low 70s far north to low 80s south. Winds northeast for most (southwest for those in NWIA) ranging from 7-12 MPH, gusting to 15-20 MPH.

College Football Forecasts – Iowa vs Iowa State; UNI vs Eastern Washington

A cool day is ahead for those headed out to the college football games today. The UNI game will be wonderful as it’s indoors, however the annual Iowa State vs Iowa game at Jack Trice Stadium this year will include the classic fall weather. Skies will be partly-to-mostly sunny for the majority of the day with highs ranging from the low 40s early in the morning to the mid 60s by afternoon. Winds will not help matters, out of the north-to-northwest from 5 to 10 MPH.
