COOL WIND: Today will see some breezy conditions and cool temperatures behind this storm system which brought a lot of rain to the state along with some rivers at or just above flood stage. Temperatures will be in the 60s to lower 70s.

HOLIDAY WEEKEND: The holiday weekend still has some isolated chances of showers and thunderstorms. There will be a chance of rain Friday night into Saturday morning with a warm front moving through, and then isolated chances throughout the rest of the weekend. Temperatures will be warm, with readings in the 80s throughout the weekend with humid conditions. Isolated storms could end the holiday weekend Monday afternoon and evening, but they shouldn’t amount to much due to a large ridge building over the eastern sections of the country.

HEAT WAVE: The ridge looks to continue across the area through the first week of June as well, with possible 80s and 90s with heat indices at or over 100° at times. There will be little if any chances of rain as the storm track will be shunted to near the US Canada border for the first week of June. Given the amount of rain the state has seen over the last few days and the rivers that are in flood, it may be a good thing.
