The National Weather Service Survey team has confirmed that a tornado did touch down in Clinton County on Monday. The tornado was on the ground for nearly 9 miles and extended from 3.2 miles NNE of Charlotte (pronounced Char Lot not like the city in North Carolina) to 4 miles SSE of Goose Lake. It was rated an EF0 and only did minor damage to some farmsteads in the area.
