GRADUAL WARMING: The week will progress with a warming trend that will last through the week and into the upcoming weekend. Readings will begin with another frosty morning across the eastern counties of the state with 30s and lower 40s statewide and highs in the 60s, to highs in the mid 70s to lower 80s by the weekend, with lows generally in the 60s. The weather will remain dry at least through most of the week, with a slight chance of some precip moving into the western part of the state late on Thursday with the enitre state getting in on the action on Friday into the weekend. Severe weather could be possible with this system, but it’s too early to determine that at this time. Some heavy rain could be possible as well given the length of time this storm is expected to stick around, with amounts possibly near 1-2 inches. This shouldn’t effect any planting going on in the state outside of some soybeans.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: A big change since the model run yesterday. Only a slight chance of any precipitation during the holiday weekend, with it coming on Sunday. However as was mentioned before, models will likely swing wildly over the next few days until the holiday weekend gets within the next 7 days. At that time there will be a better determination of what is likely to happen during the weekend. Right now, it looks to be mostly dry and warm. We’ll have to wait and see if it changes once again.
