COOL MORNINGS: Rain will be moving out of the state later today with clearing taking place from west to east. Readings Monday and Tuesday morning across the state will be in the 30s to around 40. There could be some scattered frost Monday. MOS is forecasting near freezing across the northern and eastern counties Monday morning. Just to be safe, any plants that are outside should be taken indoors over the next few days until the weather warms up by mid-week.

NEXT STORM: The remainder of the week will remain sunny and dry until late on Thursday when the next storm will bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the western sections of the state. The entire state should get in on the precipitation by Friday into the following weekend. It’s too early to determine whether or not there will be any severe weather with this system.

START OF SUMMER: The unofficial start of summer, being Memorial Day weekend still looks rather active with possible stormy conditions (not all of the weekend), however this will likely change on the next run.
