SATURDAY STORM: A few days of quiet weather ahead across the state. The next chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms moves back in by Saturday with a cold front from the west. The chances of severe weather with this storm system are low at this time. Precipitation amounts are likely to be light with many locations receiving at most a third to half inch of rain. Temperatures will rebound to at or above average on Friday ahead of the storm. Cooler conditions return again for Sunday into early next week.

FLOODING: River flooding continues along the Mississippi River, where the river continues to fall and on other rivers across the state. Those rivers that remain above flood stage will continue to do so at least through the end of this week. The Mississippi River will be above flood stage for at least a week or more south of the Quad Cities.
