Showers and thunderstorms are quickly beginning their exit out of the state late this evening. Also leaving the state this evening is the spring weather and temperatures that have been around for the last week. Readings for the next week to ten days will be below average with highs most days in the 40s with a few upper 30s possible. Nighttime lows will generally be in the 20s to around 30. There will also be chances of some rain/snow mix with possible accumulations. This is a far cry from severe thunderstorms and tornadoes of today, but remember it’s still March, and it can snow in Iowa even into April!
NOTE: There were blog issues today that led to several hours of no warnings being put on the blog (from around 4-4:30 until just before 8). This was due to a server problem not on my end. Sorry if this inconvience this caused.
