A Spring vs Winter clash is set to take place over the state of Iowa for the rest of this evening into the overnight as cold air over the northern counties and warm air overtopping it will lead to varied weather conditions. South of interstate 80, especially south and southwest of Des Moines, there has been a few isolated thunderstorms with brief heavy rain. These are moving to the northeast and could produce some small hail and possibly some sleet and/or graupel. Across the northern counties, it will be cold enough at the surface for some freezing rain in those areas. A quarter to as much as a half inch of ice is possible across these areas, with the heaviest being close to the Iowa Minnesota border.
NOTE: There will be NO Weather Forecast Video Tonight due to ongoing weather issues. There will be another video possibly on Sunday night/ Monday morning.
