Roads are slowly improving across the state. At least the main travelled roads are, as for the county and secondary roads, many of them are still drifted shut and or closed. Many of those will “try” to be plowed later today and tonight (if they haven’t already). There are still numerous state and US Highways that remain closed at midday. Iowa DOT has the list available.
