The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a Winter Storm Warning effective from 6pm Monday evening until Noon Wednesday for the following counties Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont and Page. Snow is expected to move into the area late Monday evening and last through the morning hours of Wednesday. Total accumulations of 7-12″ possible with the heaviest amounts closer to the Iowa Missouri Border. Along with the snow, winds will be blowing 15-25mph and will create blowing and drifting snow along with dangerous wind chills as temperatures begin to drop Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
