Looks like the last two days of the week will be warm across the state of Iowa, with Friday being the warmest of the two. Above is the forecasted high temperatures based on the 0z GFS Model run. The entire state should make it above the freezing mark on Friday which will allow for some melting of the snow. There will be a clipper system moving through later in the day that could swipe the northeastern half of the state with a few snow showers or flurries, but nothing that is expected to accumulate. The clipper system will move away by Saturday morning and temperatures will drop back to average readings with highs in the 20s to around 30. Another blast of arctic air is expected by Monday and Tuesday of next week with lows Tuesday morning back below zero once more with some locations possibly seeing double digits below zero. Winter isn’t over yet!
