With the relative lack of cold weather this week (at least until this weekend), the image above shows the latest forecast model run of another bitterly cold arctic high pressure system by early next week over the midwest once again. This will lead to temperatures back below zero once more with wind chills in the dangerous catagory once more. There really doesn’t seem to be an end in sight, but the only good thing (or bad thing for some people) has been the lack of snow this month as this pattern doesn’t constitute large storm systems with a lot of moisture. You take the good with the bad.
