The middle of a bitterly cold night continues across the area, with readings dropping into the double digits below zero in a few locations. With the slightest of breezes, this is causing wind chills to drop into the dangerous catagory with wind chills in the -20s and -30s, with Estherville and Mason City having wind chill readings of -31° at Midnight with Charles City right behind at -30°. The Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect through the overnight hours into the mid morning hours this morning across the northern half of the state.
