Another in a series of bitter arctic blasts is expected to move back into the state by early next week. The last few model runs show a large polar high swinging SE into the US early next week dislodging the cold air near the North Pole and bringing it down to where we are in the mid-latitudes. Lows will be in the single digits and teens below zero with highs on Tuesday of next week possibly not even getting above zero. It is likely to be the coldest temperatures of the winter so far (if not the entire winter) if it pans out (which is looking like it will)
