Here is a table of the average temperatures for 2010. Most of the state was within a degree or so of average, with all but Cedar Rapids and Ottumwa being above average by less than 2°. A warm summer and early fall led to this result, however December was rather cool with many locations between 5-10° below average for that month alone. The year didn’t start warm either, with temperatures throughout the month of January staying well below the average with many locations seeing average lows hover around the 0 mark for most of the month.
