Inching Above Zero

Temperatures are heading above zero across the state sans for a few locations in far northern Iowa which have yet to break that barrier. Wind chill values have risen as well, with many locations having wind chills in the single digits or teens below zero. Mason City had a wind chill of -23° this past hour. Wind will continue to diminish today and tonight leading to another night of very cold temperatures, especially in the northern and northeastern counties where temperatures will drop well below zero once again. Highs today will be in the single digits and lower teens, with a gradual warmup into the teens Tuesday and 20s Wednesday. Another snowstorm is in the offing for later in the week as well, with another few inches of snow possible. More on that storm in later posts.
