The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a BLIZZARD WARNING, beginning at 9pm this evening and lasting until 6pm Sunday evening for the following counties, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delware, Des Moines, Dubuque, Henry, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren and Washington. Blizzard conditions will move into the eastern counties of the state later tonight and throughout the day on Sunday. Along with the blizzard conditions, temperatures will be plummeting throughout the day Sunday, with temperatures dropping to near 0 by sunset Sunday with wind chills approaching -30°. This will likely lead to a Wind Chill Warning being issued for Sunday evening through Monday.
