The calm beofre the big weekend storm will come through tomorrow across the state. There will be a chance of some light snow or possibly a mix in the non snowpack areas. Temperatures will be warmer than today with readings approaching the freezing point in the snowpack to as high as the 40s south and west of Des Moines where there is no snow on the ground.

The weekend storm is still on the horizon with the ever changing snowfall forecasts and where the snow is going to fall and how heavy it’s going to be. Right now given the wide swinging models, we aren’t going to make anymore guesses at least until tomorrow when more may be known.
