Final Report on Friday’s Event in Omaha

The thunderstorms that blew through the Omaha Metro Area and into SW Iowa produced winds upwards of a category 3 hurricane. Winds were estimated at between 110-115 mph in eastern Nebraska and up to 90 mph into Pottawattamie, Mills and Montgomery Counties in Iowa. Sadly this event did kill two people in Council Bluffs that were sitting in a car when the storm blew in.
