The National Weather Service has issued a Freezing Rain advisory from 6am until Noon Monday morning for the following counties, Emmet, Kossuth, Winnebago, Worth, Hancock and Cerro Gordo. It is in effect until 3pm Monday afternoon for Mitchell County. Amounts will generally be under a tenth of an inch but enough for untreated roads to become slippery. The rest of the state will see rain with amounts under a quarter inch possible.
UPDATE: The following counties have been added to the Freezing Rain Advisory as of 4am Monday, Calhoun, Humboldt, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Sac, Webster and Wright.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued until 10am for the following counties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, OBrien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux and Woodbury.
