Here Comes Cooler Weather

Temperatures at 3pm

The state is being bisected this afternoon by a cold front that is moving through the state at this time. To the west, skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy with temperatures more typical of November, with 40s to the lower 50s, while to the east, skies have been mostly sunny with some haze with readings in teh 60s and 70s once again. The cold air will win out later today as the front will move through. There is a chance of a few showers and very isolated thunderstorms through this evening as the front passes. The more steady and potentially heavy rain will come starting tomorrow afternoon through the early weekend. There is still a chance that the precip will mix with and change over to snow Friday night in the NW, with the rest of the state possibly seeing a switchover before all the precip ends on Saturday. More on that in later posts.
