* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR…
EASTERN SIOUX COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
NORTHWESTERN O’BRIEN COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
* UNTIL 1130 PM CDT
* AT 824 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN IN MUCH OF THE AREA. ADDITIONAL STORMS WITH HEAVY RAN ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE OVER THE AREA THIS EVENING.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE…ARCHER…HOSPERS…SANBORN AND SHELDON.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED AREA.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS…HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY…COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS…STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.
