Above is the MOS data from the 0Z run of the GFS Model. It shows much cooler temperatures that we’ve been experiencing over the last few weeks. The Model run also shows a chance that some of the precipitation in the northwestern quarter of Iowa into Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota may become mixed with snow or be all snow. This could change as this is a week out, but another storm around Halloween may also bring rain mixed with snow across parts of the state again. Remember, earlier in the month highs were in the 80s and 90s, it’s looking a lot like October 1997 all over again!
