The National Weather Service has now expanded the river flood warnings along the Mississippi River. Last night they issued a river flood warning for the Lock and Dam at Dubuque and at the Lock and Dam downstream in Bellevue. Now late this morning, those flood warnings have been expanded southward to include the Mississippi River at Fulton IL, Camanche, LeClaire, Rock Island IL, Illinois City IL and New Boston IL. The other flood warnings for the West Fork Des Moines river at Humboldt, Emmetsburg and Estherville remain in effect, along with the river flooding along the Big Sioux and Little Sioux Rivers in NW Iowa. Those warnings will be in effect at least through the early part of next week. The Mississippi River flooding may last until another 10-14 days.
