A very cool but stormy Saturday is in progress across the state today. There have been numerous rounds of showers and thunderstorms traversing the state since the pre-dawn hours this morning. Some of the storms have produced some hail and some brief heavy rain as they’ve moved through.
Thunderstorms are still ongoing mainly north of Interstate 80 early this afternoon. Rain up to an inch is possible with the showers and thunderstorms as they move eastward. Severe Weather is not antcipated at this time, but small hail could be possible with any of the stronger storms.
Temperatures have been cool with the rain and storms around. Readings at mid-afternoon have been in the 50s and 60s, well below average for mid to late September.
