Pleasant Weekend with One Exception

The weekend was very pleasant across the state. Temperatures were near to slightly above average for early to mid September, with readings on Sunday in the low to mid 80s. The one exception to the picture perfect weekend was a severe thunderstorm that moved through the Tri-State region late Sunday afternoon. Strong winds were reported in Dubuque county after 5pm with a thunderstorm that moved through the area. The Dubuque Airport reported a wind gust to 85mph at 5:20pm as the storm rolled through. Likely a cause of a possible microburst over the airport. The skies will be clear tonight with the next chance of rain moving back in late on Monday night.
