Strong Storms Moving Through Eastern Iowa

A long line of showers and strong thunderstorms continues to move through the eastern portions of the state. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 6:45pm for Jefferson and Henry counties, The line of showers and storms extends from near Dubuque to Bloomfield and is moving to the east at 50-55mph. Strong winds will be the main threat from these storms as they quickly move out of the state early this evening. Cooler and drier weather will rush into the state later tonight, with lows dropping into the 50s, with a few upper 40s in cooler locations.
