The humidity has returned to the state this weekend, but not to the extent it has been over the last few months. Dewpoints have climbed back into the 60s to near 70° statewide. Southerly winds have also brought the heat back to the state as well. These will continue again on Sunday, with gusts over 30mph at times during the afternoon hours. Highs later today will be in the 80s to lower 90s. The next chance of rain (it’s been getting dry statewide surprisingly) is forecast for Tuesday through early Thursday. This will be followed by another cool spell of comfortable weather in time for the Labor Day Weekend Holiday. Temperatures are looking to be in the mid 70s to around 80 with lower humidities at that time. However, forecasts could change based on what takes place with Tropical Storm Earl way out in the Atlantic.
