Strong to Severe Thunderstorms are currently moving through the eastern and southeastern sections of the state this afternoon. Straight line winds have been the main threat with these storms along with the very heavy rain. (This person couldn’t update the blog because he was stuck in a dowpour trying to return home.) A Severe Thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 9pm for southeastern and eastern Iowa and until 10pm in the northern counties. More will follow.
