The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 2am Monday morning for the following counties, Cerro Gordo, Emmet, Franklin, Hancock, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Winnebago, Worth, Wright, Adair, Audubon, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Butler, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Dallas, Greene, Grundy, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Sac, Story, Tama, Webster, Harrison, Monona and Shelby.
Thunderstorms continue to move through the western portions of the state early this evening. The main threats will be from large hail and damaging straightline winds of over 60mph. Heavy rain is also possible with these storms as well.
