All of Iowa

Waiting for the Next Round

Today has been a day to dry out, especially in southern Iowa where rain amounts of 5-9 inches were seen. Numerous flash flood warnings were issued last night and early this morning. Numerous rivers in that area are currently flooding at this time. Except for a few isolated showers or storms this evening, the sky will remain clear to partly cloudy across the state. The next chance of rain is expected by late Wednesday afternoon into the evening. Some of those storms may become severe. There is a slight risk of severe weather for most of the state for mainly Wednesday evening and night. Another round of possible severe weather will move in again on Thursday. Temperatures will remain in the 80s to around 90, with dewpoints in the upper 60s to mid 70s through Friday.
