All of Iowa, Severe Weather

Severe Weather Risk Back for Friday

The severe weather risk is back in the state today, with a slight risk of severe weather mainly along and north of a Dubuque to Onawa line. There is also a moderate risk that includes a small section of extreme northern Iowa, mainly along IA Hwy 9. The biggest threat from any storms that form will be strong straight line winds, with large hail and an isolated tornado being secondary threats. Heavy rain is also a possibility with these storms as well. There is also a risk statewide on Saturday as well, with the same threats included as well. After that, Sunday and into next week are forecast to be sunny and dry with highs in the 80s.
