The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO watch effective until 9pm. This watch includes the following counties, Appanoose, Cedar, Clinton, Davis, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Mahaska, Monroe, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, Wapello, Washington and Wayne.

Thunderstorms capable of producing not only isolated tornadoes, but large hail and damaging straight line winds will be possible this afternoon into this evening across southeastern Iowa. The storms will be out of the state by sunset or possibly earlier.
