This replaces part of the Severe Thunderstorm Watch that was also in effect until 6am.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a TORNADO Watch until 6am for the following counties, Butler, Calhoun, Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Webster and Wright.

Numerous tornadoes have been reported across the northern parts of the state north of Fort Dodge this evening, including a large tornado near Eagle Grove within the last 30 minutes. Along with tornadoes, large hail and damaging wind gusts are also possible with these storms as they track off to the east at 20-25mph.
